RICH MANNING – will be entering his 7th season as Panthers head coach. He's a WH alum - class of 1989 - and was captain of the hockey team that was the first to qualify for the post season since 1971. Attended UMass/Boston from 2001-2005, studying physical education and captaining the Beacon hockey team his senior season. Coming off his first postseason appearance since 2005, Coach Manning will look to continue guiding the program in the right direction.

JOSH SMITH – will be entering his 6th season in the Panther Hockey program. A WH alum, class of 2001, Josh was a defenseman for the Panthers, who qualified for the postseason in all of his 4 seasons. He is a graduate of Bridgewater State College with a degree in Business/Finance and currently owns ‘Smitherz Landscaping’ in Whitman.

STEVE CAPELLINI – undoubtedly one of the best Panthers of all time who captained his team to the South finals his senior season. A 2002 WH alum, he will be entering his 6th year as an assistant on both the JV and Varsity levels. Steve went on to further his student/athletic career at UMass/Boston where he played for the Beacons for two seasons. Steve is also an Assistant coach for Panther Lacrosse in the spring.

DEAN SYLVESTER – a former NHL player with both the Atlanta Thrashers and Buffalo Sabres before back injuries cut his career short. Played in the Stanley Cup finals versus the Dallas Stars back in 1999. He spent all of his youth residing in Hanson, choosing to play his high school hockey at BC High and then on to Kent State and Michigan State before turning pro. This will be Dean’s fourth season as a part time, volunteer coach with the Panthers, specializing in helping the forwards.

JOE YOUNG - A resident of Hanson, Joe joined the Panther coaching staff last year and worked primarily with the goaltenders. However, he also had the versatility to help in all other areas and be a leader in the locker room. Joe has coached many seasons for the Bay State Breakers AAA and worked several goaltender camps in the past, and the Panthers will look to him for continued support.

WILL BERGLUND - A WH alum, class of ’89 with coach Manning. Will was a captain and an all-league defenseman for the Panthers during their postseason run. He will work with the defensemen and bring great experience. Will is a graduate of Colby College in Maine and resides in Norwell today.
