Locked and Loaded -- Preparation Begins for '08-09
The hockey season came into view for the first time this fall, as the signup meeting was held on Thursday afternoon in Whitman-Hanson's small lecture hall. Players were given various paperwork to be submitted before day one of tryouts (December 1st), and a dryland training session was held on the upstairs indoor track for about thirty minutes. It is clear that several players were not in attendance at the signup -- if you are one of these players, you must see Mr. Daley as soon as possible to retreive your three articles of paperwork (permission slip, physical form, & user's fee form). The permission slip and physical MUST be squared away by day one of tryouts if you wish to participate. The user's fee, on the other hand, should be turned in once you know you have earned a roster spot. More details on this paperwork is available with Mr. Daley, or if you have other questions specific to hockey, find your captains or any of the seniors. They will guide the way for you.

This is a big year for Whitman-Hanson hockey. A lot of seniors -- and I mean, A LOT of seniors -- will be looking to go out with a bang. Several other returning juniors will look to step up their game. A few underclassmen will look to continue to make impacts on the varsity level. And as a whole, this team will look to severely bring up their '07-08 win total. This could be a special year, boys. It's up to you.
